Intrigued but wondering what to order? Sharing plates are ideal at this neighborhood, gastropub, perfect for gathering friends over an array of everyone’s favorites. A selection of smaller bar snacks and larger main dishes are also available.
Inspired first in his family’s kitchen in Mexico and later educated at a top culinary school in Paris, Adrian Villarreal brings years of international experience to Atlanta’s gastropub as the executive chef of TAP. Villarreal’s love of food and his diverse culinary background add another dimension to the exciting and unique bar food at Atlanta’s first authentic gastropub.
Demonstrating dedication and talent after joining TAP's team in 2007, Villarreal quickly rose to this position in 2008 after nearly 10 years in the restaurant industry. Prior to joining the Concentrics Restaurants team, Villarreal launched his career in the Atlanta dining scene as chef de partie at Joël. Before settling in Atlanta, Villarreal began his career in France where he gained experience working at both Le Doyenne and La Maree after graduating Le Cordon Bleu, Paris.
Villarreal heard his calling long before his prestigious culinary school education. Inspired by years of preparing food for a large extended family with his grandmothers and great aunt, Villarreal began attempting progressively more ambitious meals on a weekly basis. Familial ties continued to prove useful as his uncle owned the first restaurant in which Villarreal worked part time during his studies at Tecnológico de Monterrey, a top-ranked Mexican university system, where he earned a degree in economics
.
Villarreal moved to Atlanta in 2002 and currently lives in Vinings with his wife Marcela and young son Alek.
